Last week the University of Maryland (my alma mater) unveiled a statue honoring alumus Jim Henson, featuring him with one of his most beloved characters, Kermit The Frog. The dedication last Wednesday coincided with Henson’s birthday, who would have been 67. I haven’t been back to the campus for some time, but this statue, along with a collection of Henson’s artwork at Hornbake Library, is a very compelling reason to go back and visit.
