Ray Charles died today at the age of 73 surrounded by family and friends at his home in Beverly Hills. He was a pioneer in many styles of music, bringing traditionally black forms like soul, gospel, and R&B into the homes of all Americans. He perfomed over 10,000 concerts in his 58-year career. The man and his music will never be forgotten.
