Andy Serkis, who played Gollum in The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers (and the upcoming Return of the King), won the award for “Best Virtual Performance” in this year’s MTV Movie Awards. Although I think that his exclusion from the Oscar nominees was a travesty, I’m very glad that his performance was finally recognized, even if it was only at the MTV awards. Check out a video of his acceptance speech (or more likely at one of the mirrors listed in the Slashdot story), which is one of the funniest I’ve seen in a long time.
