Yesterday, as I was waiting in line for a burrito at Chipotle (free to anybody dressed up as a burrito for Halloween, but one of the many tinfoil hats being recycled and passed around was good enough), I found myself in a conversation with the girl in line ahead of me. She was reading Red Meat, and we started talking about beards. She brought to my attention the World Beard and Moustache Championships, which were held today in Carson City, NV. I’ve always been content to keep my beard and ‘stache trimmed pretty short, but this just might inspire me to rethink that.
