The Orange County Register reports that Thurl Ravenscroft died Sunday from prostate cancer at the age of 91. Thurl Ravenscroft was best known for his voice, and lent his considerable talent to familiar characters like Tony The Tiger, among many others. Former Disneyland president Jack Lindquist said that “Disneyland wouldn’t have been, and wouldn’t be, the same without him,” as his voice was present not only in attractions like Pirates of the Caribbean, the Haunted Mansion and the Enchanted Tiki Room but also in the movies Cinderella, Dumbo, and Lady and the Tramp, to name but a few.
