I hope that they don’t ruin this, as I have fond childhood memories of The Dark Crystal, although if I remember correctly, parts of it were a bit unsettling…

As you may remember, W toured the Baltic States last week, and during his trip he encountered some protestors in Riga, Latvia. However, as Low Culture posts, these were not your typical protestors, and one might not even realize they were protestors unless one knows the language well enough to understand the real meaning of some of their signs (shown above). I can’t in good conscience write what “Peace Duke” might actually work out to in phonetical translation on the front page, so I will direct you to this link for an explanation (read a couple comments down). I suppose it’s possible that this is an innocent coincidence, but I choose to go with the coarser, more hilarious explanation…
