Scifi.com reports that “the Jim Henson Co. announced that it will produce a feature-film sequel to its 1982 fantasy film The Dark Crystal, with the working title The Power of the Dark Crystal. I hope that they don’t ruin this, as I have fond childhood memories of The Dark Crystal, although if I remember correctly, parts of it were a bit unsettling…
He-Man Sings 4 Non Blondes
He-Man realizes that being a singer is his true calling in the video Fantastic Special Powers, in which he breaks into song with 4 Non Blondes’ “What’s Up.” Skip through the slow part in the beginning to see the horribly cheesy techno part…
The 50 Worst Hairstyles Of All Time
The Phat Phree have outdone themselves with their graphic journey into The 50 Worst Hairstyles Of All Time. This is just too funny, and I’m pretty happy with their choice for #1 (although “The Pride of Jersey” at right is pretty bad too)…
What’s On Jesus’ iPod?
SFGate’s article What’s On Jesus’ iPod? is obviously a tongue-in-cheek satire. However, I really enjoyed it, and having read it several times now I must say that it makes a lot of good points, combining humor, theology, and metaphysics in a pretty cool way…
W, Peace Duke
As you may remember, W toured the Baltic States last week, and during his trip he encountered some protestors in Riga, Latvia. I suppose it’s possible that this is an innocent coincidence, but I choose to go with the coarser, more hilarious explanation…
OEDILF
The Omnificent English Dictionary In Limerick Form (OEDILF) is a project that attempts “to write at least one limerick for each and every word in the OED English language.” They’re working on the “A”’s right now, and the efforts so far are pretty fun…
Internet Movie Script Database
The Internet Movie Script Database (IMSDb) is a great repository for movie scripts. It even has a pre-release version of Star Wars: Episode III, although I am going to great lengths to avoid spoilers and don’t want any of that…
Rocketboom
Rocketboom is a fun “daily vlog” (videolog; I know, pretty bad) of interesting news, videos, and websites run by Amanda Cogdon. Well worth a look…
Castle Attack and Grim Reaper Golf
Check out Castle Attack 2 and Grim Reaper Golf, two fun games I came across at MilkAndCookies.
Puck Fiction
In the video Puck Fiction, “Samuel L. Jackson plays Chris Chelios’ old youth league hockey coach, Jules Winnfield, the hitman from Pulp Fiction. One of several skits done for the 2002 Espy Awards.” Hilarious…
