Star Trek Captains to Team Up?
Hollywood.com details some rumors on an upcoming Star Trek XI movie:
Star Trek captains William Shatner, Patrick Stewart and Scott Bakula are set to join forces in a new movie.
The trio will reportedly star in the unnamed film that will be set in the ‘mirror universe,’ which was featured in both the Next Generation and Enterprise TV series.
An insider tells movie gossip website CanMag.com, “Apparently Shatner was in talks to do a guest role on Enterprise, but it didn’t work out. The ideas for the episode will now be incorporated into a movie.”
The Star Trek Wikipedia entry has some more snippets of information as well. I’ll reserve judgement until I hear more, but the fact that it’s an odd-numbered movie doesn’t bode well…
The Chappelle Theory
Most of you have heard about the tribulations of Chappelle’s Show in getting a third season to air. One “retired public relations executive who wishes to remain anonymous” claims to know the true reason behind the delay, detailing a wide-ranging conspiracy of “Dark Crusaders” involving everyone from Bill Cosby to Louis Farrakhan in the web site The Chappelle Theory. While a somewhat engaging read, I tend to go along with the prevailing opinions of contributors to the associated MetaFilter thread in thinking that this is probably a viral site created by Comedy Central or Chappelle himself. But who knows?

Arrested Development May Find New Home
A couple of weeks ago I posted about the tragic imminent cancellation of Arrested Development. Well, nothing has officially been announced by Fox yet, but apparently there are already rumors of several networks making offers for the show. I sincerely hope that these rumors are true, because it would be a crime for this hilarious show to end for good.
TiVo To Offer Rocketboom
The TiVo online services I mentioned last week showed up on my TiVo a couple of days ago. I was very happy to see that Rocketboom was among them, although it did require a subscription. The New York Times had a nice article on the terms of the deal, but more than likely it’s expired by now… :-p
