Slashdot reports that the winner of Google’s 2002 Programming Contest is Daniel Egnor, who “adds the ability to search for web pages within a particular geographic locale to traditional keyword searching.” This is way cool; you conduct a search as you normally would, and the results are displayed as typical text links as well as locations on a map.
